Rates/Minimum Hire Periods:
* Rates are per day in NZ$ and include unlimited kilometres & GST (New Zealand Government Tax)
* The minimum hire period is seven days
Drivers/Licences
All drivers must be at least 25 years old and hold a full and current New Zealand driver's licence, or an International Driving Licence, or a licence recognised by New Zealand from the country of origin (with certified English translation where applicable).
Depot/Pickup Points:
Depots: Auckland; Christchurch
Rentals from Auckland to Christchurch must have a minimum hire period of 21 days. All other rentals have a minimum hire period of seven days.
AIRPORT TRANSFERS
A complimentary transfer will be provided from Auckland airport to our depot.
Insurance
STANDARD INSURANCE:
A compulsory insurance charge of NZ$20 per day covers your hire vehicle for windscreen breakage, punctures and third party property and public liability insurance. However it is still advised to take out travel insurance which covers the excess and personal property. The hirer is liable for the first NZ$2000 of any damage caused in any one accident. The bond paid 48 hours prior to the commencement of the hire to cover this.
Bond
All hirers must pay a bond of NZ$2000 48 hours prior to the commencement of hire. This is debited from the hirers credit card. This bond is fully refundable if the vehicle has not been involved in an accident and is returned in a reasonably clean and undamaged condition.
It is recommended that hirers take out their own travel insurance to cover personal injury, medical costs and personal property.
General Conditions
The Company reserve the right to make deductions over and above the bond for any of, or multiples of the following:
Missing or damaged equipment. The vehicle is not returned in a clean condition. The toilet is not emptied and chemically recharged. The fuel tank is not refilled.
There will be no refund for vehicle returns before the due date, or unused rental days.
Hired vehicle operated outside the terms on the rental agreement have no insurance cover and the hirer is liable for the entire cost of damage.
Deposit
A deposit of 20% of the total hire cost is payable to secure a booking. This is calculated on 20% of the daily hire tarrif times the number of days of the hire. The full balance is required 30 days before the commencement of the hire.
The bond, Compulsory daily insurance, optional insurance waivers and any additional equipment must be paid at the Depot at the commencement of the hire.
