Drivers/Licences
A current full drivers licence in the English language or an International Driving permit is required and must be produced at vehicle pickup. A normal car licence is all that is required to drive any of our campervans or motorhomes. No heavy vehicle, or other special category licence is required.

Depot/Pickup Points:
Auckland, Christchurch
Between depots are acceptable subject to availability at time of booking. Relocation fees are payable if the drop off depot is changed during the hire.

If you do not specify on your reservation we shall presume you wish a courtesy transfer on pick up unless outside working hours,

Complimentary transfer from anywhere in the metropolitan area.

Credit Cards
We only accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit cards and all transactions are conducted in New Zealand Dollars. Due to exchange rate fluctuations there could be some variances to the amount charged or in the case of refund, to the amount originally charged. We do not accept any responsibility for exchange rate fluctuations or credit card companies charges. Payments made by credit card may incur an additional charge.

Bond
Kiwi Autohomes does not bank Bonds at the start of the hire.
The Bond is fully refundable when the vehicle is returned with the fuel at the level noted on the hire agreement to the correct location and on time and all other terms of the rental agreement have been complied with. If any damage is evident when the vehicle is returned the Bond will be used to cover the costs of repair up to the maximum amount of the liability chosen. However, if any damage is evident as a result any breach of items as shown on the exclusions list then the hirer will be held fully responsible for the total cost of any repairs required regardless of which Bond was taken.

Insurance
Basic insurance (compulsory) of NZ$20 per is payable in addition to daily hire rate (bond/excess NZ$2000, NZ$4,000 for drivers 21 to 25 years).
Option 1 Insurance cover extra at NZ$25 per day (bond/excess reduced to NZ$1250, NZ$2500 for drivers 21 to 25 years).
Option 2 Insurance available for a further NZ$35 per day (bond/excess reduced to NZ$500, NZ$1000 for drivers 21 to 25 years).

1. Standard Insurance
A Compulsory NZ$20.00 per day (maximum payable NZ$1500 or 75 days) addition to the above rates will give you a maximum liability (Excess) of NZ$2000 (NZ$4000 for drivers 21 to 25 years of age) for any claim arising should the vehicle be damaged in any way or if damage occurs to any third party property regardless of who is at fault. The excess applies in respect of each claim, not rental. The hirer will be responsible for any damaged or broken windscreens, tyre repairs or replacements and all items noted on the Exclusions list. The Bond of NZ$2000 (NZ$4000) which will be collected at the time of entering into the Rental Agreement can be paid by Credit Card, Cash or Travellers Cheques in NZ Dollars. The Bond is fully refundable if the vehicle is returned on time to the agreed location, and providing the toilet and waste tanks are empty and the fuel is at the same level that was noted at pickup and no damage to the vehicle, third party property or any item on the Exclusions List is evident.

2. Reduction Option 1
The cost for this option is NZ$25 per day (maximum payable NZ$1875 or 75 days) in addition to the above rates will give you a maximum liability of NZ$1250 (NZ$2500 for drivers 21 to 25 years of age) for any claim arising should the vehicle be damaged in any way or if damage occurs to any third party property regardless of who is at fault. The excess applies in respect of each claim, not rental. The hirer will be responsible for any damaged or broken windscreens, tyre repairs or replacements and all items noted on the Exclusions list. The Bond of NZ$1250 (NZ$2500) which will be collected at the time of entering into the Rental Agreement can be paid by Credit Card, Cash or Travellers Cheques in NZ Dollars. The Bond is fully refundable if the vehicle is returned on time to the agreed location, and providing the toilet and waste tanks are empty and the fuel is at the same level that was noted at pickup and no damage to the vehicle, third party property or any item on the Exclusions List is evident.

3. Reduction Option 2
The cost for this option is NZ$35 per day (maximum payable NZ$2625 or 75 days) in additional to the above rates will give you a maximum liability (excess) of NZ$500 (NZ$1000 drivers 21-25) for any claim arising should the vehicle be damaged in any way or if damage occurs to any third party property regardless of who is at fault. The excess applies in respect of each claim, not rental. The hirer will be responsible for any damaged or broken windscreens, tyre repairs or replacements and all items noted on the Exclusions list. The Bond of NZ$1250 (NZ$2500) which will be collected at the time of entering into the Rental Agreement can be paid by Credit Card, Cash or Travellers Cheques in NZ Dollars. The Bond is fully refundable if the vehicle is returned on time to the agreed location, and providing the toilet and waste tanks are empty and the fuel is at the same level that was noted at pickup and no damage to the vehicle, third party property or any item on the Exclusions List is evident.

4. Tyre and Windscreen Protection Insurance
A cost of NZ$5 per day in addition to the daily hire rates, standard insurance or insurance reduction options will give you piece of mind cover when it comes to puncture repairs or windscreen chips/replacements. Any call out fees will not be covered.

Hirers are advised to take out personal travel insurance to cover personal injury, medical costs and personal property.

General Conditions
The Company reserve the right to make deductions over and above the bond for any of, or multiples of the following:

Missing or damaged equipment. The vehicle is not returned in a clean condition.

Hired vehicle operated outside the terms on the rental agreement have no insurance cover and the hirer is liable for the entire cost of damage.

Deposit
A deposit of 25% of the total hire cost is payable to secure a booking. This is calculated on 25% of the daily hire tarrif times the number of days of the hire. The full balance is required 30 days before the commencement of the hire.

The bond, Compulsory daily insurance, optional insurance waivers and any additional equipment must be paid at the Depot at the commencement of the hire.

Full terms and conditions are on the confirmation E-mail but can be supplied beforehand on request.t 21 years old and hold a full and current New Zealand driver's licence, or an International Driving Licence, or a licence recognised by New Zealand from the country of origin (with English translation where applicable).

Insurance

Bond reduction option 2: for NZ$35 per day the bond is reduced to NZ$250 for any one accident. Excess is Nil with this option (not available for drivers under 25).

Credit Cards
As of 1st October 2007 all Mastercard and Visa transactions will incur a 1.65% fee and American Express will incur a 2.5% fee.

Payment can be made in cash, travellers cheques in NZ dollars, or credit card. If a credit card is used an imprint will be retained and only processed if an accident or damage has occurred. Subject to the vehicle being returned in a satisfactory condition and on time.
