KEA Deluxe ST 2 Berth (old one - inactive) - Terms & Conditions

Rates/Minimum Hire Periods:
* Rates are per day in NZ$ and include unlimited kilometres, Comprehensive insurance (Excess NZ$5,000) & GST (New Zealand Government Tax)
* The minimum hire period is five days. Minimum rental is extended to 10 days for the travel period from 20 December to 05 January.

Drivers/Licences
All drivers must be at least 21 years old and hold a full and current New Zealand driver's licence, or an International Driving Licence, or a New Zealand recognised licence from the country of origin (with English translation where applicable).

Traffic Laws
The hirer is liable for all fines and penalties in relation to the driver's use of the vehicle or the vehicle itself incurred during the rental period plus an administration fee of NZ$ 25 for each infringement or penalty notice that has been redirected by KEA to the hirer.

Depot/Pickup Points:
Auckland, Christchurch
No extra charge for one way travel.

Airport Transfers
Free transfers to and from Auckland and Christchurch Airports and Airport hotels.

All Inclusive Rates cover the Standard Rates inclusions plus the following EXTRAS:
full cover insurance (NIL excess), multiple replacements and repairs of windscreens and tyres, camping table,
chairs(s) and beach umbrella, baby or booster seat(s).

Insurance
STANDARD INSURANCE:
All KEA Campers vehicles come with comprehensive insurance cover. A standard excess of NZ$ 5,000 applies in the event of any damage to either vehicle or third party property. The renter will also be fully liable for replacement or repair of windscreen and tyres.

Bond
A security bond of $5,000 is required on vehicle collection. This represents the insurance excess.The security bond can be paid by cash, traveller's cheque or credit card. Should the bond be paid by credit card the amount will be debited to your account immediately
This bond is fully refundable if the vehicle has not been involved in an accident and is returned in a reasonably clean and undamaged condition.

KEA Campers Excess Reduction 1 Insurance
A payment of $25.00 per day will reduce the insurance excess (Bond) for any damage to either vehicle or third party property to a maximum of NZ$ 2,000. The renter, however, is fully liable for replacement or repairing damaged windscreens and tyres. The total insurance charge is limited to a maximum of 50 days - NZ$ 1,250.

Excess Reduction 2
Excess Reduction 2 at $35.00 per day will waive the excess for any single vehicle damage, third party property damage or cost of replacing windscreens and tyres. However, a security deposit of $250.00 is payable at the time of pickup to ensure that the vehicle is returned to the agreed location, on the agreed date in clean condition and the toilet cassette and waste water tank has been emptied and no items are lost or damaged. This charge is limited to a maximum of 50 days or $1,750.00.

Hirers are advised to take out their own travel insurance to cover personal injury, medical expenses and personal property.

General Conditions
The Company reserve the right to make deductions over and above the bond for any of, or multiples of the following:

Missing or damaged equipment. The vehicle is not returned in a clean condition.

Hire vehicles operated outside the terms of the rental agreement invalidate the insurance cover and the hirer is liable for the entire cost of any damage.

Deposit
A deposit of 25% of the total hire cost is payable to secure a booking. This is calculated on 25% of the daily hire tarrif times the number of days of the hire. The full balance is required 30 days before the commencement of the hire.

The bond, optional insurances waivers and any additional equipment must be paid at the Depot at the commencement of the hire
